Fine day for a sail

What does it mean if you look out of your kitchen window and see the words Caledonian McBrane? It means you have ferries at the bottom of your garden. Sadly this isn't the view from my kitchen window. We took a little sail to the neighbouring island of Bute today and had a walk up the hills. Very calm and lovely. The perfect way to pass Boxing Day.

For me it reminds me of the summer I spent as a waitress in Ullapool when I was at university in St Andrews... the ferry going every day to Stornaway and I never managed to go there! Lovely view you've got.

Hi Sally, your photo reminds me of my childhood and fishing on the lake in the valley where I was brought up. I think Scotland is like Wales but on a much larger scale.
