Big Draw Day Six

This is what I feel like at the end of Big Draw Day Six. Today we trashed a museum with the help of too many children and too few helpers. The room was carpeted, with hessian on the walls which were hung with old masters, some unframed. The kids were manic with a capital K pouring ink into paint into water into paste and stirring with felt pens. They spilt goo on the carpets and their clothes, trod oil bar into the floor and smear it up the walls. The proper painting on the walls had a narrow escape. Needless to say the kids had a blast.

With wisdom beyond their years they realise that the process is all and quite happily walk away leaving all their chaotic, paint splattered artwork behind and toilet washbasins to match.

Despite this, it was a fabulous experience that I wouldn't have missed for anything. We filled the more civilsed part of the museum with all our drawing safety pinned together and draped over both sides of the banisters. Here is a small selection.

Hope you've enjoyed coming on this journey with me. I've certainly enjoyed having you here.

I have enjoyed your journey so much Sally, a fascinating peep at the wonderful diversity of the general public.

It's been a great journey Sally. I pity you having all those children and not enough helpers.

You are very brave or very crazy. I can't decide which. Maybe both!
But I love what you have done and I know you've made a difference in all those who came to the Big Draw.

Thanks folks. A definate case of fools rush in I thnk Diane. Feel as if I have my life back this morning and as if I haven't stood up straight for a week. Going to do lots of standing up straight now, sraight and still and quiet. Ahhhhhhh! That's better.

I have enjoyed your journey, and found it quite inspirational. I work with preschoolers and have gotten a few ideas from your posts about things I could do with them. Any more would be welcome... LOL

Sally, what a triumph! Those pictures speak for themselves. As usual, you've brought the best out of so many people, giving so much of yourself in the process.

Stand up straight but don't forget to take a bow too - and make the most of the peace and quiet. It won't last long!!

well done Sally a great week - and I thoroughly enjoyed the reports and the results!

Take it easy - stand up straight and give yourself a huge pat on the back
